Mario Ferro is an experienced soccer coach with 13 years of coaching experience, working with both boys and girls from U10 through U15. His coaching career has been with Key Biscayne Soccer Club, where he has focused on developing competitive players and teams.
Throughout his coaching career, Mario has achieved significant competitive success, including leading his U13 Girls Elite team to a State Cup Championship. He has also won all three major competitions—the Commissioners Cup, Presidents Cup, and State Cup.
Mario is passionate about helping young players develop both on and off the field. His coaching approach emphasizes teaching the game while building confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong love for soccer. His goal is to have a positive impact on every player he coaches and help them reach their potential.
Before coaching, Mario played soccer for nearly 30 years, competing at the USL and UPSL levels and participating in U.S. Open Cup competition. His playing experience includes Florida Soldiers FC, Miami Aces FC, Copa Latina Honduras FC, Booker T. High School, Mater Academy High School, ASA College, and Hurricanes FC.
Mario studied Sports Management at Miami Dade College and ASA College.
Fun Fact: He has been involved in soccer since he was 5 years old and now gets to share that lifelong passion with the next generation as a coach.
Favorite Soccer Memory: Winning the Commissioners Cup, Presidents Cup, and State Cup as a coach and seeing his players’ hard work result in that success.
