Cristian Blanco is an experienced soccer and goalkeeper coach with 10 years of coaching experience across youth, MLS NEXT, professional, and international environments. He has spent the past eight years coaching at Key Biscayne Soccer Club, where he founded and developed the club’s Goalkeeper Program and has played an important role in the long-term development of players and goalkeepers across multiple competitive levels.
Cristian currently also serves as Goalkeeper Coach and Second Assistant Coach with Miami FC’s professional first team. His experience extends to the international level, where he collaborated with the Curaçao National Team during its preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and worked individually with professional goalkeeper Eloy Room.
Throughout his coaching career, Cristian has helped identify and develop young players for higher-level opportunities, including MLS NEXT academies and MLS Homegrown pathways. His coaching philosophy focuses on developing players both on and off the field, building confidence, discipline, resilience, and teamwork while helping young athletes enjoy the experiences and relationships that come with the game.
Before coaching, Cristian reached the professional level as a player and competed internationally in a CONCACAF tournament. His playing career included Union Huaral in Peru, Canadian Soccer in Uruguay, Olancho FC in Honduras, Atlántico FC in the Dominican Republic, Naples United FC, Inter Miami II, Miami United, and Miami FC.
Cristian holds a degree in Physical Education from a university in Argentina.
Fun Fact: After returning to play in a final with Miami United, Cristian saved a penalty but suffered a ruptured spleen during the match and required emergency surgery that night. His team won the championship, so he jokes that he traded his spleen for a trophy.
Favorite Soccer Memory: Making his professional debut at 19 years old.
