Overview

KBSC is proud to join MLS Next, the premier youth soccer development platform in North America, for the 2026-27 season. Participation in the league places KBSC among a select group of academies nationwide recognized for meeting rigorous standards in training and player development. We now proudly offer the full pathway for MLS Next (MLS Next Pre-Academy - Florida Academy League and MLS Next Academy Division) for all competitive boys ages 8–18.

WHAT IS MLS NEXT?

MLS Next represents the highest level of competition in youth soccer, bringing together the top academies across the United States and Canada. Created by Major League Soccer, the platform focuses on long-term player development and representation, serving as one of the primary pathways for athletes pursuing collegiate, professional, and national team opportunities.

Program Structure

KBSC MLS Next teams will compete in a structured league format, including regular season matches, regional tournaments, and MLS Next national events. 

Note: For the 2026-27 season, KBSC, along with all the MLS Next clubs, agreed unanimously to continue to operate under the Birth Year registration model (January 1 - December 31) for all MLS Next-aligned competitions.

PATHWAY & DEVELOPMENT

Participation in the MLS Next Academy division provides KBSC players with a clear pathway to collegiate soccer and professional opportunities. The platform prioritizes long term player development within a high-performance environment, elevating the standards of elite youth development.

TRYOUTS & EVALUATIONS

Tryouts (ID Camp) for external players for the 2026–27 MLS Next season have concluded. Additional identification opportunities may be offered at the club’s discretion based on roster needs.

Current players within the club may continue to be evaluated for MLS Next participation through ongoing training, performance, and coaching assessment. Final roster placements will be communicated by the end of May 2026.
