Miguel Martinez is an experienced soccer coach with 12 years of coaching experience. He has coached with América de Cali in Colombia and has worked extensively in youth player development, including the U9 and U10 competitive levels.
Throughout his coaching career, Miguel has achieved competitive success, including winning the Copa CAFAM tournament in Colombia in 2010. His coaching philosophy goes beyond winning games, focusing on developing character, confidence, and a lifelong love for soccer. He strives to create an environment where every player feels valued, challenged, and inspired to become the best version of themselves.
Before coaching, Miguel played soccer for 10 years at the youth level. His playing experience includes América de Cali, Once Caldas de Manizales, and American High School in Miami Lakes.
Miguel studied Political Science at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia.
Fun Fact: He can spend hours planning creative training sessions and finding new ways to make learning soccer fun for young players.
Favorite Soccer Memory: Winning a championship with his team and seeing the happiness on his players’ faces as their hard work, commitment, and teamwork paid off.
