Rain Out Cancellation Policy
South Florida is known for having very unpredictable weather that can change by the minute.
If we experience high winds and rain, flooding or lightening, we reserve the right to cancel or suspend practices and home games. Safety first! We put the safety of the players, parents and coaches first.
Lightning Protocol
We recommend that all parents and players stay connected with each program through their team or coaches’ chats. We have created Whatsapp chats with registered parents. Parents should contact their chat for the latest weather updates.
If lightning is within an 8-mile radius to the playing fields, we will suspend play for a minimum of 30 minutes. If the field lightning alarm goes off, we will resume play after the alarm sounds, and verifying that lightning is outside the 8-mile radius.
If we receive a lightening warning, we will act according to the following scenarios:
1) If a lightening warning occurs prior to or at the start of a practice session, we will notify the parents that the start has been suspended up to 30 minutes or less.
2) If the lightening warning occurs within the last 30 minutes of the practice session, that practice is canceled.
We will do our best to inform our parents, coaches and players at least 45 min before each session the current weather status.
We encourage all parents to register on RainedOUT to receive text updates directly to your mobile phone. You register, add your phone number and receive text messages with updates.
